Paul T. Schreiber, Tandy R&D Engineer and VIS Project Team Member, was the keynote speaker at Tandy Assembly 2019. We've linked to his video beginning at the VIS portion but the entire presentation is definitely a worthwhile look back at Paul's highlights (and lowlights) during his time at Tandy.
This system is in the collection of ASOBI TECH, who is located in the UK. We've just made contact and look forward to working with him to get his VIS console fully functional.

YouTuber @SlyDC posted a concept video back in 2016 where he was able to modify the SPACENUTS game with a new attract screen and other content. His build would not launch fully due to memory constraints, but he WAS successful in getting it past the VIS bootstrap.

TIger Electronics Ad for the VIS
TE purchased the liquidated stock of the VIS and offered it at an incredible price of $99.
Here's a packing slip that TigerDirect included in a VIS order back in 1995. It looks like the buyer got the "Direct Source Bundle" (presumably the $99 offer) as well as an extra controller, and two additional titles. This system was shipped to the buyer in Florida, and ultimately ended up with a collector in the UK. Also to note: the "extra controller" was a ZENITH branded one, which infers that
